40 people arrested in investigation into exorbitant fruit and vegetable prices

All 40 suspects detained in the investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office were arrested; efforts continue to capture one suspect for whom a detention order exists. The operation involved searches at 109 addresses in 22 provinces, and statements were taken from 1,029 farmers.

One more suspect detained in Divriği missing infant investigation

In the investigation into an 11-month-old infant missing since September 10 in Divriği, Sivas, a suspect was detained in Diyarbakır based on statements from siblings under state protection. According to Hürriyet, six suspects including the mother and father have been arrested.

US rejects Abbas's visa request for UN General Assembly

The US rejected the visa applications of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and some Palestinian officials, who were expected to speak at the UN General Assembly in New York next week.
