gazete.tv is a daily, sourced brief of Türkiye, published every morning in 4 languages (Turkish, English, Arabic and Russian). We publish summaries of about 150 words, never full articles, and every summary links the sources it was written from.

What this is

The home page is a running feed, newest day first, with each day’s five picks in front. Every day has its own page and every story has its own page, so you can read one edition end to end or follow a single story across weeks.

How a story is made

Stories are selected from a fixed list of Turkish and international outlets, summarised to about 150 words, given a short context box, and translated into every language you see here. We publish summaries, never the full article, and every summary links back to the reporting it was written from.

Before anything is published, a second automated pass checks each summary against the sources it came from, sentence by sentence. A story that fails that check is dropped rather than published with a warning.

Sources

Each source is placed on a five-zone spectrum: state, pro-government, independent, opposition and foreign. Every story shows the spectrum, with one chip per publisher, so you can see at a glance where a story came from before you read it.

We aim for a balanced mix across the day, not inside every single story: some events are only covered by one side, and hiding that would itself be a distortion. When only one source has a story, the card says “single source”.

Neutrality rules

• Two sides. Where the sources disagree on a fact or a framing, the story carries a “where reports differ” box that gives both positions in their own words, without a verdict.
• Wording. We use neutral nouns and the parties’ own names for themselves. We avoid loaded verbs, scare quotes and adjectives that carry a judgement. Claims are attributed to whoever made them, not stated as fact.
• No editorial line. gazete.tv does not endorse parties, candidates or policies, and publishes no opinion pieces.
• Daily bias check. Every edition is checked for the balance of its source mix and the tilt of its wording, and the result is published as a short bias note with the day.

Corrections

If a story is wrong, tell us. Corrections are handled on the corrections page: we check the claim against the sources, fix the story in place, mark the change on the thread, and list what was corrected. A correction is never quietly deleted.

Privacy of the people in the news

We report on public figures acting in public roles, and on institutions. We do not publish the personal data of private individuals: no home addresses, no identity numbers, no health details, no names of victims, witnesses or children, even when a source prints them. Where a source names a private individual and the name adds nothing, we leave it out.

Not investment advice

Nothing on gazete.tv is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Rates, prices and market figures are for information only, may be delayed, and must not be used to make a decision about your money.

Money

The site is free and carries advertising. Adverts are marked, sold separately from the newsroom, and have no influence on what we publish or how we write it.

A paid membership without adverts is planned and is not open yet; the membership page describes it, and the free edition stays whatever happens to it. There will be no members-only story and no paywalled edition: what we publish is the same for everyone.
