Floodwaters recede in Rize, cleanup continues in İyidere and Pazar

Following heavy rain in the Eastern Black Sea region, floodwaters have receded in İyidere and Pazar, with cleanup continuing at businesses. İyidere Mayor Saffet Mete said there was damage in 9 neighborhoods and 7 villages, no loss of life, and 7 homes were evacuated; Pazar Mayor Neşet Çakır said some neighborhood roads remain closed.

Heavy rain disrupts transport in Trabzon, yellow-code warning issued for four provinces

The Trabzon Governor's Office reported that rainfall reached about 50 kilograms per square meter in some parts of the city, that 114 calls were received by the 112 Emergency Call Center, and that 533 personnel were deployed. The Meteorology authority issued a yellow-code warning for Giresun, Trabzon, Rize and Artvin for September 19.
