Terms of use
Last updated 18 September 2026
By reading gazete.tv you accept these terms. They are short on purpose.
What the site is
gazete.tv publishes short daily summaries of news about Turkey in 4 languages, with a link to every source a summary was written from. It is free to read, and it stays free to read. There is no account and nothing to buy today; the two sections below describe accounts and a paid membership that are planned and not yet available, and they take effect only when the feature they describe exists.
How the content is made
Every summary on this site is written from named published sources and then checked against those sources by a second automated pass before it appears. The method is described on the about page.
We work hard to be accurate, but a summary is a summary. Where something matters to you, follow the link and read the original. If a story is wrong, tell us through the corrections page and we will fix it in place and say that we did.
Accounts — when they are available
This section applies from the day sign-in opens. There is no account today, and nothing here creates one.
When it opens, you will be able to sign in with Google or with Apple. Using the site without an account will still be possible, and reading will still be free.
- One person per account. An account is personal. Do not share it, sell it, rent it out or let someone else sign in with it.
- Accurate details. The name and e-mail address that reach us from Google or Apple must be yours, and you must keep the e-mail address current so we can reach you about the service.
- You look after your access. Your Google or Apple credentials are yours to protect; we never see them. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.
- Age. An account is for adults. If you are under eighteen, do not open one.
- Abuse. We may suspend or close an account that is shared, automated, used to scrape the site, used to get round a payment, or used to attack or abuse the service or other people. Where it is fair to do so we warn first and explain why. If we close a paid account for misuse, we refund the unused part of the period already paid for, unless the misuse was fraud.
- Closing it yourself. You can ask us to delete your account at any time, and we do. What deletion removes is set out in the privacy policy.
Membership — when it is available
This section applies from the day membership opens. Nothing is on sale today, no price has been set and no purchase can be made.
Membership will remove the adverts, let you arrange your own home page and keep your saved stories on the account instead of in one browser. It changes how you read gazete.tv and never what we publish: there will be no members-only story, no paywalled edition and no early access, and the free edition stays exactly as it is.
It is sold only in the app stores. A membership is bought inside our iOS or Android app, as an in-app purchase through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. It is not sold on this website, and we never ask for a card here. Apple or Google is the seller: they take the money, they issue the receipt, and their terms and privacy notices govern the purchase. We never see your card number, and we never hold payment data of any kind. What reaches us from the store is one thing: whether the account in front of us is currently a member.
- Price. The price is the one the store shows you, in your store’s own currency, before you confirm. Nothing is charged before you have seen it and confirmed in the store. A price change never applies to a period already paid for, and the store tells you before a new price takes effect.
- Renewal. A membership renews in the store, automatically, for the same period until you turn renewal off. The store charges the renewal and the store tells you about it.
- Cancelling. You cancel in the store account, not here. On an iPhone or iPad: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, gazete.tv, Cancel. On Android: the Play Store app, your profile picture, Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, gazete.tv, Cancel. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the membership runs to the end of the period you have paid for, and the adverts come back after that.
- Refunds. We cannot refund a store purchase. The money never reaches us, so only Apple or Google can give it back. Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or Google through the Play Store’s purchase history. Their own refund rules apply, and they decide.
- The 14-day right of withdrawal. As a consumer in Turkey you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase under the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Distance Contracts Regulation, and consumers in the European Union have the equivalent right. Because the store is the seller, that right is exercised through the store, on the same refund routes above, and the store applies the rules for a digital service that starts as soon as it is bought. Nothing here reduces a right your own law gives you.
- If something goes wrong with the account. Write to [email protected]. We cannot move money, but we can fix what is on our side: a membership the store says you have and the site does not, a sign-in that will not connect, an account that has to be deleted. Tell us which store you bought in and we will take it from there.
- If a membership lapses. Nothing is deleted because a membership ended. The member features stop — the adverts come back and a home page you arranged returns to the standard one — and everything else stays: the free edition, in full, and the stories saved in your browser on this device, which never depended on a membership. Anything kept on the account stays on the account and comes back when you are a member again. Deleting the account is a separate act, and it does remove them.
- If we stop the service. We say so in the brief, and a period already paid for is refunded by the store under its own rules.
Not advice
Nothing on gazete.tv is investment, financial, legal, tax or medical advice. Exchange rates, inflation figures, market numbers and company news are published for information only, they may be delayed or wrong, and no decision about your money should be based on them. Check with a licensed professional before you act.
Our rights
The design of the site, its wordmark, its mark, the software behind it and the original text of our summaries belong to Odun Games Limited Şirketi, which publishes gazete.tv. Headlines, quotations and figures reported by other publishers remain theirs and are used here to report the news, with attribution and a link.
You may read, print and share our pages, quote a reasonable extract with a link back, and use our RSS feeds for personal use or in a reader. You may not copy the site wholesale, republish a whole edition, remove the source links, or use the content to train a model without written permission. Automated harvesting that puts a load on the server is not allowed; our robots.txt says what is welcome.
Links out
Every story links to its sources. Those sites are not ours, we do not control what they publish, and their own terms and privacy rules apply once you leave. A link is not an endorsement.
Availability
The site is built and deployed automatically, and it may be unavailable, incomplete or out of date at any moment. We do not promise that it will run without interruption, and we can change or stop any part of it.
Liability
The site is offered as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by relying on a summary, by an error in a figure, by a broken link or by the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for intent or gross negligence.
Advertising
The site carries advertising. Adverts are marked. We do not choose our stories to please an advertiser, and no advertiser sees a story before it is published. An advert is not a recommendation.
Complaints and law
For anything else, write to [email protected]. Turkish law applies, and the courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the mandatory consumer rules of your own country still protect you.
