TEKNOFEST competitions continue in Diyarbakır, electronic warfare category held for first time

Finalist teams are competing in 8 categories on September 18-20 at the Diyarbakır leg of Southeastern TEKNOFEST, run by the Industry and Technology Ministry and the T3 Foundation. 365 teams applied for the "Electronic Warfare Competition" run by ASELSAN, with 21 teams from 12 cities reaching the finals.

ASELSAN adds AI-supported SMASH 300 to SMASH family

Tested in firing trials in Konya's Karapınar according to company statements, the 25 mm SMASH 300 will be used against surface threats as well as mini and micro UAVs; over 560 units in the SMASH family have been delivered to 18 countries, with a global market share of around 10%.

Electronic warfare and radar pods mounted on Bayraktar TB2 displayed in Konya

In a demonstration watched by military delegations from 18 countries, one TB2 was fitted with ANTIDOT electronic support and electronic warfare pods, while another was integrated with a FULMAR 200 radar pod; according to company statements, the detection, electronic attack and imaging steps were completed.

Circular on 2030 strategy and action plan for smart cities published

According to the circular signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, the implementation period of the 2020-2023 plan has ended and the "2030 National Smart Cities Strategy and Action Plan" has been prepared. 5 detained in software firm data probe in MİT-coordinated operation

Coordinated by intelligence agency MİT, the Cybersecurity Directorate and Gendarmerie raided Ankara-based Aydo Yazılım, a company selling software to trade unions, detaining five people including the company owner. Investigators found a hidden interface added to union software allowed access to leaked data, and that databases included records of people under 18.
