Founder and chairman of the board of Anadolu Kültür

Mehmet Osman Kavala is a Turkish businessman, publisher, human rights defender and philanthropist. Since the 1990s he has supported numerous civil society organizations. He has been the founder and chairman of the board of the nonprofit organization Anadolu Kültür since 2002.

Council of Europe asks Türkiye for information on Kavala by October 14

The Council of Europe's Committee of Ministers, at its meeting on September 15-16, repeated its call for the immediate release of Osman Kavala and asked that concrete steps taken or planned be reported by October 14. The file will be taken up again no later than the December 1-3 meeting.
