Türkiye's social security institution

The Social Security Institution (SGK) is a state institution established under Law No. 5502, adopted on 16 May 2006, through the transfer of the Social Insurance Institution, Bağ-Kur and the Pension Fund. The institution consists of three bodies: the general assembly, the board of directors, and the presidency.

Stricter enforcement expected on SGK premium debts in the year's final quarter

Based on the Medium-Term Program's clause that "premium debt monitoring and collection processes will be made more effective," reports say employers who have not applied for restructuring may face the cancellation of incentives, as well as enforcement and seizure proceedings between October and December. The deferral interest rate had been cut from 39% to 29% annually.
