In Küçükçekmece case over death of 16-year-old, three defendants get 24 years each with no reduction

Küçükçekmece 6th High Criminal Court sentenced three defendants under 18 to 24 years in prison each for "jointly and intentionally killing a child" and ruled against any sentence reduction. Prosecutors had sought between 18 and 24 years in prison.

Pro-government press and Neutral press These reports said the fight broke out on July 7, 2025, and that the court sentenced the three defendants to 24 years in prison each.

Opposition press Opposition outlets wrote that the incident occurred on July 6, 2025, in Yeni Mahalle, that an argument that began over the phone was followed by a knife attack on the child, and that he died in hospital two days later.

Gürlek: full weapons handover and National Security Council determination required for law to take effect

Woman beaten in Osmaniye dies in hospital, suspects detained

A 20-year-old woman beaten in her home in Kadirli died despite medical intervention at the hospital. Sources diverge on the number detained: CNN Türk reported four people, while Star reported three including her husband.

Pro-government press (CNN Türk) CNN Türk reported that the 20-year-old woman, said to be six months pregnant, was beaten by her husband K.F. and three relatives, that four people were detained as murder suspects, and that the investigation continues.

Pro-government press (Star) Star wrote that the woman, beaten by her husband during an argument at home, could not be saved at the hospital, that two people considered linked to K.F. were detained, that K.F. was arrested, and the others were released; it made no mention of pregnancy.

Killing of three people in Antalya's Korkuteli: suspect caught in forest
