A province in the Marmara Region

Sakarya is a province of Türkiye and is the country's twenty-second most populous province. It is the fifth largest province in the Marmara Region after Istanbul, Bursa, Kocaeli and Balıkesir. Its provincial center is Adapazarı, and it takes its name from the Sakarya River.

Inspectors begin audit of hazelnut exchanges, growers protest with tractors in Sakarya

The Trade Ministry assigned inspectors to examine transactions at the Ordu, Giresun, Ünye and Fatsa commodity exchanges. In Kocaali, Sakarya, growers formed a convoy of about 130 tractors to protest the Soil Products Office (TMO)'s purchase prices of 255 lira for Giresun quality and 250 lira for Levant quality.

26 detained arrested in Sakarya-based illegal betting operation

In an operation carried out in Sakarya, Istanbul and Kocaeli, 31 suspects were caught; a transaction volume of approximately 562 million lira was reportedly identified in account activity. Star also reported a separate operation across 7 provinces based in Aydın.
