Hasan Polatkan

Finance Minister from 1950 to 1960

Hasan Polatkan was a Turkish politician and finance expert. He held the post of Labour Ministry from May to December 1950, and served as Finance Minister from 1950 to 1960. Following the Yassıada Trials, he was executed along with Prime Minister Adnan Menderes and Foreign Minister Fatin Rüştü Zorlu.

Menderes, Zorlu and Polatkan commemorated on 65th anniversary of executions

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Grand National Assembly (TBMM) Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, AKP spokesperson Ömer Çelik, and Communications Director Burhanettin Duran issued commemorative messages for Adnan Menderes, Fatin Rüştü Zorlu and Hasan Polatkan, who were executed after May 27, 1960.
