MASAK halts Hedef Yatırım Bankası's 2 billion lira swap transaction

As part of a fund investigation, MASAK halted a 2 billion lira (TL) swap transaction that Hedef Yatırım Bankası sought to send to Swissquote's correspondent account at Akbank in exchange for $40.9 million. The banking regulator BDDK stated that the foreign currency had not yet reached the account.

The Interior Ministry reported that citizenship decisions for a total of 6,134 people were revoked in the irregular citizenship investigation.
