Tekirdağ

Tekirdağ is the city that serves as the center of Türkiye's Tekirdağ province. It is one of Türkiye's 30 metropolitan municipalities, having gained metropolitan status in 2012 among 14 provinces whose population exceeded 750,000. After the local elections of March 30, 2014, it began to be governed under the metropolitan municipality system, and three new districts—Süleymanpaşa, Kapaklı and Ergene—were established.

One-year definitive concordat moratorium granted to Kale Seyahat

The Tekirdağ Commercial Court of First Instance converted the temporary concordat moratorium into a one-year definitive moratorium for companies, including Kale Seyahat, which has operated since 1975, and one individual. The concordat ratification hearing will be held on Dec. 15, 2026.
