    Istanbul Airport ranks first in Europe and fifth in world in daily flights

    Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu reported that according to the EUROCONTROL report, Istanbul Airport was Europe's busiest airport with a daily average of 1,643 flights between 7 and 13 September, and ranked fifth in the world with 829 departures.

    Erdoğan opens İstanbul Airport's 4th main runway running east-west

    President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at the ceremony "We are in the Champions League of aviation" and noted that passenger numbers on domestic and international flights rose from 34.5 million in 2002 to more than 247 million in 2025.
