Dollar exchange rate reaches all-time high at 48.80 lira (TL)

As demand for the dollar increased with the Fed's rate hike, the dollar exchange rate in Türkiye renewed its record by rising to 48.80 lira (TL). The euro stood at 56.05 lira (TL) and the pound at 65.36 lira (TL).

Non-domestic producer prices rise 32.60%, agricultural inputs up 27.62%

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the Non-Domestic Producer Price Index increased by an annual 32.60% in August, with energy climbing 106.24%. The Agricultural Input Price Index rose by 27.62% annually in July, with fertilizer increasing by 33.07%.

The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources reported that Türkiye generated 442.2 terawatt-hours of electricity from solar and wind power between 2015 and 2025. This generation was stated to have prevented $21.5 billion in coal imports and 354 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
