New service-score-based system introduced for judge and prosecutor appointments

Justice Minister Gürlek announced that under the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK)'s September 16 decision, service points and point ranking will become the main criteria for judge and prosecutor appointments, ending the east-west divide. The new system will begin with the 2027 Main Decree.

Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office: Access blocked to 419 social media accounts

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office blocked access to 419 social media accounts and one link over allegedly obscene content. 5 detained in software firm data probe in MİT-coordinated operation

Coordinated by intelligence agency MİT, the Cybersecurity Directorate and Gendarmerie raided Ankara-based Aydo Yazılım, a company selling software to trade unions, detaining five people including the company owner. Investigators found a hidden interface added to union software allowed access to leaked data, and that databases included records of people under 18.

Expert examination ordered for "Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu" series in Kozinoğlu investigation

The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ordered an expert examination in the investigation into the 2011 death of former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu, covering allegations that the TV series 'Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu' depicted a character being killed as a "traitor to the homeland" and contained FETÖ propaganda involving vehicles with "FG" plates.
