Air force branch of the Turkish Armed Forces

The Turkish Air Force is tasked with protecting Türkiye against attacks from the air and is the third-largest branch under the command of the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK). Its headquarters is in Ankara, and its inventory includes numerous aircraft, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.

Test flight conducted with HÜRKUŞ-II and HÜRJET

Defence Industry Agency (SSB) President Haluk Görgün and Air Force Commander General Rafet Dalkıran flew in the HÜRKUŞ-II and the MURAD AESA radar-equipped HÜRJET. Görgün said the first HÜRKUŞ-II jets would be delivered to the Air Force shortly.

HÜRKUŞ-II completes acceptance tests, preparations for delivery to Air Force begin

Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün announced that acceptance tests for the HÜRKUŞ-II have been completed and the aircraft will be delivered to the Air Force shortly. In a HÜRJET flight the same day, ASELSAN's MURAD AESA radar detected and locked onto another HÜRJET.
