Public professional body to which surveying engineers belong

The Chamber of Surveying and Cadastre Engineers is a public professional body in Türkiye established under Law No. 6235. Founded on April 4, 1955, the chamber requires mandatory membership for every graduating independent surveying engineer. Its short name is HKMO.

Prof. Dr. Uğur Ersoy, doyen of civil engineering, dies

Uğur Ersoy, born in Mersin in 1932 and a retired faculty member of Boğaziçi University and ODTÜ, died at the age of 91. The Chamber of Civil Engineers issued a condolence message; the first ceremony will be held in Istanbul, with Ersoy to be buried in Mersin.
