Five executives from Pusula and Tera detained in fund investigation

In the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's capital markets investigation, Pusula Holding Chairman Serdar Turhan, Tera Yatırım Holding Chairman Emre Tezmen, and executives Alper Öztürk, Emre Alkin and Kerem Alkin were detained. BDDK revokes operating license of Iran-based Bank Mellat

Under a decision dated September 18 published in the Official Gazette, the operating license of Bank Mellat's Istanbul Türkiye Central Branch was revoked under Article 71/1-b of the Banking Law; according to DW and Euronews, the justification cited a threat to depositors' rights and the trust and stability of the financial system.
