Somalia, officially the Federal Republic of Somalia, is a country in East Africa located in the Horn of Africa. Since the start of the Somali Civil War in 1991, most of the country's regions have lacked central government control. The internationally recognized Federal Transitional Government administers only a small part of the country.

Defence Ministry: Turkish commandos train with Somali soldiers on Mount Erciyes

The Defence Ministry announced that personnel of the 1st Airborne and Commando Brigade in Kayseri conducted a tactical movement from Zincidere to Mount Erciyes together with visiting Somali military personnel. Ambush, cave search and "Uçangöz" exercises were held at Tekir Plateau.
