Pro-government press, Neutral press and Opposition press These sources gave the diesel discount as either 4.09 lira or 3.97 lira, reported the per-liter price in Istanbul as 96.31 or 96.34 lira, and reported no change for gasoline.

Foreign press Sputnik Türkiye reported that the price of diesel per liter fell by an average of 4.10 lira, and that following the 4.70-lira hike on 17 September, prices dropped back below 100 lira.

104 irregular migrants caught in İzmir operations between September 15-18

In inspections carried out at sea and on land by Coast Guard and gendarmerie teams in Seferihisar, Urla and Foça between September 15-18, 104 irregular migrants were caught. On September 18, 33 people were found on a rubber boat off Seferihisar, 23 in Urla and 17 in Foça.

Interior Minister Çiftçi: Stray animal collection completed in 78 provinces

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said on TGRT Haber that 99.22% of stray animals had been collected, with work still ongoing in Istanbul, İzmir and Diyarbakır. Çiftçi said they aim to complete the process by October 15 in Istanbul and by the end of October in Diyarbakır.

Neutral press Kısa Dalga reported the expected hike as 4.62 lira and gave the new per-liter prices as 100.19 lira on Istanbul's Anatolian side, 101.43 lira in Ankara, and 101.70 lira in Izmir.

Housing prices rose 0.9% monthly in August, ninth month of real decline

According to the Central Bank (TCMB), housing prices rose 0.9% monthly and 23% annually in August but fell 6.5% annually in real terms adjusted for inflation. The real decline extended to a ninth month, while the new-tenant rent index fell 3.9% in real terms in July.
