1. 19 Sept 2026 Güzelyurt Cold Storage Facility built with Türkiye's financing opens in TRNC The 15,000-ton capacity Güzelyurt Cold Storage Facility, established with financing from Türkiye and contributions from TOBB, was inaugurated in a ceremony attended by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC). KKTC Agriculture Minister Hüseyin Çavuş stated the facility is an investment aimed at the entire production sector.
2. 18 Sept 2026 Vice President Yılmaz in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus: messages on the boat accident off Kyrenia and Cyprus Yılmaz, speaking alongside Prime Minister Üstel in a joint statement in Nicosia, said search and rescue efforts continued after the ship accident and that efforts would be made to ensure those responsible "answer before the law." He also met with Parliament Speaker Öztürkler.
