Türkiye's livestock numbers exceed EU countries

According to Eurostat and Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, Türkiye's cattle population rose 4.3% in 2025 to 17,709,000, while France, first among EU countries, had 16,237,000. Türkiye's sheep population stands at 46,689,000 and goat population at 11,186,000.

TÜİK: Number of electric cars in traffic surpasses 472,000

According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, as of August the number of electric cars registered in traffic rose 53.2% year-on-year to 472,157, accounting for 2.62% of the total 18,037,907 cars.

TÜİK: Housing sales fell 14.7% year-on-year in August

127,410 homes were sold across Türkiye in August; secondhand sales dropped 19.4% and first-hand sales fell 4.5%. Mortgaged sales rose 7.2% while the Housing Price Index climbed 23% year-on-year.

Şimşek: We will not give up on disinflation even during the election process

Şimşek said disinflation was not progressing at the desired pace but would continue during the election process. He said year-end inflation would have been around 20-22% without the war, and that civil servant and pensioner salaries would rise at least in line with inflation.
