A district of Istanbul

Şişli is a district located on the European Side of Istanbul province. Şişli, which has 25 neighborhoods, is adjacent to Beşiktaş to the east, Kâğıthane to the north and west, and Beyoğlu districts to the south. The district's area is 10 km².

Suspect detained in Şişli for insulting a woman and Atatürk

In Şişli, Istanbul, suspect S.S. was detained at home after being identified insulting a woman walking on the street and uttering insulting remarks toward Atatürk in mobile phone footage. The suspect will reportedly be referred to court for "threats," "insults," and "insulting Atatürk."
