Black Sea

An inland sea located between southeastern Europe and Anatolia

The Black Sea is an inland sea bordered by Ukraine to the north, Russia to the northeast, Georgia to the east, Türkiye to the south, and Romania and Bulgaria to the west. It connects to the Atlantic Ocean via the Mediterranean, Aegean and Marmara Seas. It links to the Marmara Sea via the Bosporus and to the Sea of Azov via the Kerch Strait.

Defence Ministry: Denizkurdu-I/2026 exercise to be held in three seas September 20-25

The Defence Ministry (MSB) announced that the Denizkurdu-I/2026 exercise will be conducted with 100 ships, 50 aircraft and 14,000 personnel in the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean.
