A broad geographic region along the eastern shores of the Mediterranean

The Levant is a geographic, historical and cultural term used to describe a broad area of land along the eastern shores of the Mediterranean. It generally covers a wide area of the Middle East south of the Taurus Mountains, bordered by the Mediterranean to the west, the Arabian Desert to the south, and Mesopotamia to the east. The Sinai Peninsula and most of Anatolia fall outside this definition.

Defence Ministry: Denizkurdu-I/2026 exercise to be held in three seas September 20-25

The Defence Ministry (MSB) announced that the Denizkurdu-I/2026 exercise will be conducted with 100 ships, 50 aircraft and 14,000 personnel in the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean.
