A convention center in Istanbul

The Haliç Congress Center, formerly known as the Karağaç Slaughterhouse or Sütlüce Slaughterhouse, was opened in Istanbul in 1923 to ensure that slaughtering operations were carried out hygienically. The building's architect was Vedat Tek.

Erdoğan spoke on Veterans Day; will visit US September 20-23 for UN General Assembly

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said at a drawing ceremony in Istanbul that they view the "Terror-Free Türkiye" process as a "state project." Communications Director Burhanettin Duran announced that Erdoğan will travel to the US on September 20-23 for the 81st UN General Assembly and deliver a speech on September 22.
