Israel's UN Ambassador since 2024

Danny Danon is an Israeli politician and diplomat who has served as Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations since 2024, a post he previously held from 2015 to 2020. As a member of the Likud party, he served in the Knesset from 2009 to 2015 and from 2022 to 2024. He has also served as chairman of World Likud and is a former leader of the world Betar organization.

Israel's UN representative targets Türkiye's military presence in Syria

Danny Danon, at the UN Security Council session on Syria, showed a map and said Israel's buffer zone covers 0.1% of Syrian territory while the area controlled by Türkiye covers 5%, and claimed that Türkiye was following "Iran's proxy strategy."
