Kızılcahamam

A district of Ankara Province

Kızılcahamam, formerly known as Yabanabad, is a district in the northern part of Ankara Province. It lies on the E5 Ankara-Istanbul state highway and is bordered by the districts of Çubuk, Kahramankazan, Ayaş, Güdül and Çamlıdere, as well as the provinces of Bolu and Çankırı. It is a mountainous and forested district.

BirGün columnist: New decision removes 4,300 hectares from forest boundaries

In a BirGün opinion column, it was claimed that a published presidential decision removed a total of 4,300 hectares from forest boundaries, with 3,882 hectares in Kızılcahamam alone, and that similar decisions since 2018 have covered approximately 5,000 hectares in total.
