Afghanistan, officially the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, is a landlocked country located at the intersection of Central and South Asia. It borders Pakistan to the east and south, Iran to the west, and Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to the north. Its capital and largest city is Kabul, with a population of approximately 43 million as of 2023.

MİT chief Kalın holds talks in Kabul and Kandahar

According to security sources, İbrahim Kalın met with Afghan General Directorate of Intelligence chief Abdul Haq Wasiq; in meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Baradar, Defence Minister Yaqoob Mujahid and Interior Minister Haqqani, security and intelligence cooperation and the fight against drug and human trafficking were discussed.
