According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data, consumer confidence index rose to 91.9 in September, a monthly increase of 1.3%, reaching its highest level since July 2018.
The index, calculated in cooperation with TÜİK and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye, was at 90.8 in August. The expectation index for household financial situation over the next 12 months rose to 93.7, and the general economic situation expectation index rose to 89.8.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye's decision dated September 18 revoking Papel's license was published in the Official Gazette on September 23, and the company's services stopped. A TMSF trustee had been appointed to the company early this year, and 15 people had been arrested in the investigation.
