Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek told US investors at the Turkey Investment Conference in New York: "The Turkish economy is strong and resilient." He said the exit from FX-protected deposits (KKM) has increased resilience.
On the first day of the conference, Central Bank Governor Fatih Karahan also assessed monetary policy and the macroeconomic outlook. Şimşek stated that low indebtedness and rising reserves make the economy resistant to shocks.
