Constitutional Court President Kadir Özkaya said that since 23 September 2012, 756,726 individual applications have been made and 648,410 have been concluded. 99.9 percent of the 86,849 violation decisions have been implemented.
Özkaya spoke at the symposium held on the 14th anniversary of the right to individual application to the Constitutional Court. He said individual application protects fundamental rights against public power, and that it is important for the requirements of violation decisions to be fulfilled.
