Diesel price per liter drops 3.97 lira (TL), gasoline remains unchanged

Following developments in international product prices, a discount of 3.97 lira (TL) per liter was applied to diesel. As of September 20, diesel is around 96.3 TL and gasoline 80.40 TL on Istanbul's European side; in Ankara diesel is 97.40 TL, and in İzmir 97.70 TL.

- Diesel price per liter drops 3.97 lira (TL), gasoline remains unchanged Following developments in international product prices, a discount of 3.97 lira (TL) per liter was applied to diesel. As of September 20, diesel is around 96.3 TL and gasoline 80.40 TL on Istanbul's European side; in Ankara diesel is 97.40 TL, and in İzmir 97.70 TL.
- Diesel discount: price per liter falls below 100 lira Sources diverge on the discount amount: 4.09 lira, 3.97 lira, or 4.10 lira. The price of diesel per liter in Istanbul is given as either 96.31 lira or 96.34 lira; no change was reported for gasoline.
- Diesel price per liter exceeds 100 lira in major cities With the new price hike, diesel rose above 100 lira in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir. Sources diverge on the size of the hike: a range of 4.60 to 4.81 lira, or 4.62 lira.
- Özel reacts to diesel price hike, calls for removal of fuel taxes Özgür Özel said the per-liter price of diesel would exceed 100 lira at midnight on September 16, with 20 lira of that coming from special consumption tax (ÖTV) and VAT. Özel called for fuel taxes to be removed immediately.
