    Yavuz: If the Assembly decides to renew elections, Erdoğan could run again

    AK Party Elections Affairs Chair Ali İhsan Yavuz said elections are normally scheduled for May 2028 and that they want the Assembly to decide on renewal. He noted that even a short advance would open the way for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's candidacy.
