# WSJ assesses Türkiye's investment fund crisis and liquidation of 131 funds

The Wall Street Journal examined the process that began when some funds failed to meet redemption requests and spread to Borsa Istanbul (BIST); the Capital Markets Board (SPK) began liquidation proceedings for 131 funds belonging to seven portfolio management companies.
