# İBB Council unanimously approves 1-lira monthly transit pass support for students

The İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Council unanimously approved a proposal granting students who load a transit pass between September 21 and October 17 a one-time monthly pass for 1 lira (TL). During discussions it was noted that the student transit pass fee had risen from 40 lira to 653 lira between 2019 and 2026.
